As a training company we understand that our own training is a key element to success. During the week of November 23, Crane Tech set aside three days to bring our trainers and staff together for meetings with the theme of Consistency and Quality are Key.
We took a time out from providing education for our clients to strengthen our skills and ensure that we are all working from the same page. Key elements of this meeting included how to create moments of discovery for students, delivering consistent programs, and how to ensure job-site safety while training others using a newly implemented Job Safety Analysis (JSA).
At a company dinner, Jeff Ellis, Field Services Manager and Instructor, was recognized by company President, Bo Collier, as the 2015 Top Professional Trainer. Jeff stated that it was “Truly a team effort. I couldn’t be a successful trainer without the support of my colleagues, from the other instructors who provide professional advice and to the office staff that ensures that high quality materials are at the location on time. This is an award for Crane Tech as a whole.”
The core values of commitment, integrity and teamwork were reinforced with presentations, workshops, and field training. “What makes this unique is that everyone contributes. We have some fairly complex systems in place that include course grade methods and performance testing – and that doesn’t include twenty-six new safety policies and sixty-seven corporate policies and procedures either new or revised this year,” Bo stated.
With many of our trainers working remotely and spending a majority of their year away from our corporate office and training centers, it can be a challenge keeping everyone on the same page. When asked about why Crane Tech took the initiative to hold this meeting, Bo stated, “Sessions like this pull together our technical staff, field technicians and support professionals to emphasize Crane Tech’s commitment and expectation of providing a consistent and quality service. The focus is quality over quantity and it takes this kind of commitment to ensure we are providing our clients the very best training that’s available. It was great to have this opportunity and we look forward to the outcomes this will produce for our staff and our clients as a whole.”
